What are the requirements needed to get a moped license if your American, but living in Italy?

I’m moving to Italy in a few months, and I wanted to obtain a license to drive a moped. I know that if you’re an Italian citizen, you only have to be fourteen to apply for a license, but I’m not sure about Americans.
