I just purchased a Honda Elite S year 2000 motor scooter/moped. It only goes up to 25 but the speedometer says 35. Is there any way to take the governor off or something along those lines?

I see a ton of people driving mopeds like this around town and I'm planning on buying one. I know it's street legal, but I was wondering what the rules are, for Florida, for this type of moped.

Do you need a motor cycle driver's license?
Do you need insurance? (I have Geico right now)

What are the pedals for in a moped? Do I have to pedal to get it started or can I just start the engine from the get go?

I'm wondering if I should get a moped, all I've heard are pros for mopeds. Less restrictions, better milage, and the like. While the only cons I know of is that they can't go all that fast and they look (excuse the expression) dorky. Can you give me a bit more insight into mopeds? Thanks

I own a Rizzato Califfo Moped and it has a key slot and i was wondering what its used for because it is a pedal start. If it actually starts the moped without pedalling then that would be great!! Thanks!

I've just moved to a city and can't bear to sit in traffic so im considering getting a moped. I think i'd be too nervous to drive a proper motorbike.If any of ye have any ideas of what questions i should be askin before buying one it'd be a great help!!
