Hi! My parents recently offered me the option of getting a scooter (maybe even a Vespa!) as an alternative to a car. What with dreadful gas prices right now and everything, the idea has grown on me. I’m only looking for a 50cc. What is the minimum age to drive one? Do I need a driver’s license or some sort of special scooter license? Any other tips? Thanks!

I recently had my driver’s license suspended and have been looking for alternate modes of transportation. I have been looking at motor scooters and have heard from several people about the laws regarding their legality and the qualifications to operate them. To my understanding it is legal to drive a motor scooter that is approved by the GADOT as long as it is 49CC or under without a license. I need to find out exactly what the laws are because an arrest would be my life! Thanks for all responses in advance
