My 150cc scooter engine just disengaged the wheal. Riding along at about 35, the thing just stopped going. The engine still starts and stops like normal and revs up, but it won't go. Any ideas? I'd like to do the work myself, as the repair shop isn't cheap.

My car is dead and I have a 150cc scooter. Will it work if I start up the scooter and put jumper cables on the 2?
it is a 12 volt battery
