  1. The Dest Says:

    1) How much will the vehicle cost vs. how much is it worth.
    2) How much will the insurance cost.
    3) Does it have sufficient power for your needs.
    4) What is the maintenance history.
    5) Will it make you look cool or look like a dork while riding it.
Those are really the only important things to consider.

if tou wanna drive on the motorways you need a full motorcycle license and also have a scooter with a minimum 125cc but i would reccomend a scooter over 125cc anyway anything smaller are dangerously slow. With your CBT you are allowed upto 125cc and some of the scoots out there especially the GILERA PIAGGIO VESPA scoots are in the 75-80 MPH bracket. what area are you in? i maybe able to guide you to a reputable dealer.

Find a good shop. They will help you with purchase ‘screening’ as well as ongoing maintenance.

Stop and talk to people you see riding scooters, ask them what they like/dislike.

If you are too nervous, you should consider taking the MSF-USA.org rider classes. A nervous rider is a dangerous rider.

Prepare yourself first. get proper gear, get educated, THEN start looking for the bike/moped. have a known reliable mechanic look it over for you.
