How do i fix the starter on my motor scooter?
Shmev asked:
i have a motor scooter that stopped working last summer. the cause was the rip cord part would break. the plastic in the rip cord part that turned the engine would fray and wear away until it would not catch the part to turn the engine. i had had it for a year before it broke then the next started broke in a matter of weeks. any help would be EXTREMELY helpfull. if you need more information i can give it.
Thanks,

take the thing off – take to the dealer – they will hand you a new one – give them money – take home & put back on
you can do it your self, but you will need parts from the dealer…

Get new parts. Starters are relatively easy to do yourself. If necessary, look on-line for how to instructions for your model.
