I have a 150 Avanti motor scooter…starts and runs good untill it get hot! The starts cutting out and missing…and is very hard to get started again..and keeps dieing. Dealer has replaced plug twice and adjusted carb to a richer setting..to no avail. Is it a gas flow problem or a spark problem? Seems the worse after pulling a steep hill. Any one have any suggestions?

I was wondering if there is an electric scooter for about $300.00-$400.00 that goes about 15-20 mph and last for about 15-20 miles. i need something lightweight and easy to store in a dorm room. I have a suspended drivers license. The SOS says that if you are suspended you can’t drive a motor scooter/moped. My question is have ever heard of anyone being pulled over on a motor scooter and getting in trouble for driving on a suspended. I had heard that if you are under 50cc you didn’t need a license but that must not apply if you have been suspended.

What do you all think, worth the risk? Are cops really concerned about moped drivers and whether they are licensed. Have you ever seen a moped pulled over?

What can you tell me about possible insurance costs in the Kenosha County area (I have a flawless driving record)? I also would like to know if I need a motorcycle license or anything like that. I would like to buy a scooter. I know nothing about them. What is the best scooter for the money? If you take them to the grocery store, how do you keep people from stealing them? They look like you could just pick them up and carry them away. Are they hard to drive? Would a motorcycle be a better buy than a scooter?

I’m trying to figure this out: in a given year, how many fatal/permanently injurious accidents occur on motor scooters compared to the number of accidents total? Also, how many motor scooters are on the road at that time? I’d like to know the same for cars…

I do not have a motorcycle license, so I cannot rent a motorcycle but I would like to rent a scooter for a few days to take from Venice to Rome. Does anyone know how much this will cost? Could I get away with a 50cc? or a 100-125cc? or do I need a 250cc to take that far?
