Kim Y asked:
I am entertaining the prospect into purchasing an imported Vespa (Italian) motor scooter, rebuilt, to drive to/from work. Do I need to check with DMV regarding legality, licensing? Do I need to check city ordinances about driving them on the public roads? Import taxes? How often inspected? Anything you can share with me is more than anything I know… Please help me with info as best you can – Thanks!!

Tina C asked:
My friend received a ticket on his scooter for no registration and no insurance. In Las Vegas the regulation states that any scooter over 50cc must meet these requirements. His is 49cc, and we are confused as to what the requirements are.

The motor scooter is a 2007 Chinese Roadrunner I-Scooter. With a new battery the turn signals flash and the horn sounds properly. It starts with the switch on the first turn. It has a generator. However the battery goes dead. It only kick starts then. The lights are dim and the horn barely makes a sound. The lights brighten a small amount with speed. However the horn and the trun signals still do not work properly. Suggestons as to the problem and the fix.
