I am trying to find a scooter that would be safe yet fun, and be something that he could use for several years to come. I worry that the scotters with 2 wheels in front and back go too slowly, even for a young child. The razor scooter says it’s appropriate for children 5 and over, but would this go too fast? Can you control the speed on the razor scooter easily so that it does not go too fast?

i was thinking of getting a motor scooter instead of a car. Are motor scooters cheaper?? do you need insurance? Driver license ? if it helps i live in New York but am going to college in Maryland. any info would be extremely helpful

It’s brand new, and I have never worked on a scooter before. I’m told I need brake fluid, transmission fluid, and oil. I believe the person I bought it from mentioned two kinds. Also, I’ve heard a few people mention mixing the gas and oil–is that relevant for this kind of scooter, and if so how do I do that?

I have a 21 mile commute. I’m thinking about getting a motorscooter to make the commute more economical. I’m not really the motorcycle type. What kind of scooter should I look for? I need it to be cheap because I’m still paying on my car.
That’s 21 miles one way. total of 42 miles round trip.

1) How fast does a 120cc scooter go?

2) How do I get a bike license to ride it? Do I have to take written and driver’s test like I did for my car? Do I take the scooter along for the test?

Ok I have heard a thousand different answers to this question. I want to get a moped, but im not thrilled about getting a motorcycle license. Can I get a 49cc moped, and get it registered and what not, but then drive it with a regular license? What is the cut off, because if I have to get a motorcycle license, then I will just get a 150cc bike instead.

I want to get one of those motor scooters (convenient for transportation where I will be living next year), BUT I don’t know how to ride one! I think it must be pretty simple – easier to ride than a motorcycle. How can I learn how to ride one before buying one?

I’m am looking into getting a Vespa/ Motor Scooter. I was looking at the Piaggio FLY 50 for $1,899 / FLY150 for $2,899, I know there has to be a better deal somewhere. So if anyone knows of a good site or a store in NJ, let me know.

I’m looking into buying a Vespa scooter and want to be able to ride on freeways and highways. The scooter that I’m looking at purchasing tops out at 70 mph. Is that sufficient speed for the highway/freeway? Is weight also a factor when trying to determine the road readiness of your scooter? Thank you in advance.
