I just bought a moped yesterday. The guy I bought it from told me that the battery was dead because it has been sitting for about 3 months. He said if I rode it for about an hour, it would charge itself. I have ridden it, and still no charge. Its a 150cc gas powered moped. I need the battery so I can start it with the key ando the alarm will work. Right now Im kick starting it and the alarm isnt working. Do I need to plug in the battery some how or jump start it to get it to work? Im goin to take it to a bike shop this week, but I was hoping I could find the answer on here. HELP!

I bought a new moped tonight, its used. He said he has the original bill of sale and all the paperwork except he doesn’t have the title for it. Can I still register it? I live in Orlando.

I see a ton of people driving mopeds like this around town and I’m planning on buying one. I know it’s street legal, but I was wondering what the rules are, for Florida, for this type of moped.

Do you need a motor cycle driver’s license?
Do you need insurance? (I have Geico right now)

I know a diesel engine can be converted to run on vegetable oil, what makes this possible? And can it be done for a moped too?

I’m wondering if I should get a moped, all I’ve heard are pros for mopeds. Less restrictions, better milage, and the like. While the only cons I know of is that they can’t go all that fast and they look (excuse the expression) dorky. Can you give me a bit more insight into mopeds? Thanks

I am a 19 year old female college student attending Arizona State University and considering getting a Vespa /moped in lieu of a used car.
It’s certainly less expensive in cost, maintenance, insurance, gas, etc, plus it’s better for the environment. Before I decide on that route, I would like to hear if anyone has experience riding a moped in a city / campus environment. I will mainly be using it for short distances – mostly around town (errands, groceries, etc.). What are the pros and cons? Thanks.

im planning on getting a moped/vespa/scooter/motorized bike/criuser/motor bike/pedicab/rickshaw, that is for sure street legal. im looking for one that does not require a license to drive it on the streets. how high can the mph go untill its not legal without a license anymore?
