I live in a town where it doesn't rain very much and it snows about a couple of inches every year. I'm thinking about getting a motor scooter because it would save me a lot of money. I'm looking at getting a Honda Ruckus. My question is how bad does the weather have to get before I can't ride it anymore? I don't mind the elements too much, just I don't want to ride when I am in serious danger.

I am just wondering because im getting a scooter as i am 16 and needed to know what is the difference between the two. Also could anybody tell me what kind of BHP a 50cc moped/scooter would have? I was wondering if there is an electric scooter for about $300.00-$400.00 that goes about 15-20 mph and last for about 15-20 miles. i need something lightweight and easy to store in a dorm room. I want to get one of those motor scooters (convenient for transportation where I will be living next year), BUT I don't know how to ride one! I think it must be pretty simple - easier to ride than a motorcycle. How can I learn how to ride one before buying one?
